Wrong turn to great discoveries
On my morning walk, I decided to take a new route. Normally, I just meander around the neighborhoods but I decided to try the bike path. I’ve done the bike path many times but for some reason when I hop on it, I always turned toward town. Today, I turned the other way. It is a beautiful path with cliffs on one side and the ocean on the other. After about a miles and no exit in sight, I stopped a mom walking her kids. I asked if there was a way off the bike path ahead. Nope, she answered, not anytime soon. I decided to keep walking the same direction. There was a way off the bike trail eventually but by the time that happened, I was far from home. My normal 2 mile neighborhood meander was a fast moving 6 miles. It was a wonderful walk and I saw a beautiful section of town I hadn’t seen in years. I’m glad I didn’t give up and turn around.
